TBTF for 1995-04-04: An ISDN "modem"; where flaming leads

[I use an AccessWorks QuickAccess Remote ISDN "modem" from home. It cost $495
and I got it last January. What's with this "first" business?!? And anyone
who uses the word "digital" adjacent to the word "modem" should have the
grace to enclose the latter in quotation marks.]

In a discussion of the phenomenon of "flaming," the director of the 21st
Century Project at the University of Texas (Austin) suggests that "the
Internet may be on a path similar to that followed by television and other
