Hypermail generates four separate indices of its content, sorted by author, subject, date, and thread. Since moving away from the routine use of hypermail I have added many other ways of navigating the archive, including a table of contents (and its abbreviated form), a topical index (now sadly in need of updating), a Threads view, and a search engine.
